China's valid domestic invention patents reached 4.756 million in 2024, and the number of PCT international patent applications and Hague system design applications both ranked first in the world. The number of effective invention patents in strategic emerging industries reached 1.349 million with the largest volume in invention patents of the "new three types" electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar cells in the world.

The completion of the inventory and value analysis of 1.349 million patents in more than 2,700 colleges and universities and scientific research institutes across the country has been made, forming a resource database of transformable patents, and accurate docking with 450,000 enterprises was organized.

China's patent examination highway covers 84 countries. We have cooperated with the WIPO to build 202 technology and innovation support centers in China, relying on global patent information resources to promote domestic innovation and development.
