The "Report" shows that in 2022, China's patent enforcement and application levels has steadily improved, and the total number of patent transfers, licenses, pledges and other operations nationwide reached 507,000, of which 37 key cities for the construction of intellectual property operation service systems accounted for 44.8% of the total number of patent operations nationwide, the number of patent operations in the 16 patent conversion special plans rewarded and subsidized provinces accounted for 84.0% of the total number of patent operations in the country. In terms of intellectual property finance empowering market entities, the national patent and trademark pledge financing amount reached 486.88 billion yuan in 2022, maintaining a growth rate of over 40% for 3 consecutive years, benefiting 26,000 companies, 70.5% of which are small, medium, and micro enterprises. As of the end of 2022, more than 46,000 patents, trademarks, geographical indications, and integrated circuit layout designs of over 28,000 companies were provided more than 110 billion yuan in risk protection by intellectual property insurance. A total of 91 intellectual property securitization products were issued on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges nationwide with 21 billion yuan raised.

As to assisting the brand economy and characteristic economy, in 2022, more than 3,400 trademark and brand guidance stations were built nationwide, serving enterprises more than 400,000 times a year. The total output value of 160 products listed in the Guidance List of Key Contacts for Promotion of the Use of Geographical Indications of CNIPA and the related industries reached 680 billion yuan, employing more than 19 million people.
