Ms. Binna LIU is a patent litigator and patent attorney at chemistry department in our firm. She is expert in patent drafting and other business related to pharmacy, chemistry, especially pharmacy and chemistry, pharmaceutical synthesis, pharmaceutics, traditional Chinese pharmacology as well as organic chemistry. She has served as an patent attorney for many domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies, chemistry and chemical engineering companies, scientific research institutes, etc. to apply for domestic patent applications, and patent-related intellectual property business, including patent drafting, application, examination, reexamination and invalidation, as well as intellectual property litigation and non-litigation services. She is specialized in pharmacy and chemistry, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry of natural products, pharmaceutics, traditional Chinese pharmacology, biochemistry, etc.

She has held the position of patent attorney since 2010 and has dealt with documentation drafting and patent prosecution for numerous complex cases. She has extensive experience in patent filing and prosecution at the “abroad” phase. In addition, she has accumulated ample experience in reexamination, patent invalidation and administrative litigation. She has studied patent law and prosecution system of different countries for many years. She has utilized her strong professional background to defend the clients’ interests. In the hope of ensuring a great client experience, she keeps having communication with our clients, developing a deep understanding of cases, conducting research, providing practical advice and strategy, especially offering detailed defense strategy and giving lecture on patent layout and IP for large-sized drug companies. She has successfully defended the vital interests of clients in varied kind of cases.

She received her Ph.D. in Pharmacy & Chemistry from Institue of Materia Medica Chinese Academy of Medical Science and a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy (Japanese) from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University. She graduated from the professional pharmaceutical universities. She has received systematic training in pharmacy. She is proficient in pharmacy and chemistry (synthetic chemistry), pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry of natural products, biopharmaceutical. She has made deep research on pharmacy and chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, etc., especially in the fields of drug discovery and synthetic organic chemistry. During her time at Institue of Materia Medica, she mainly carried out drug discovery, focusing on drug molecule design and synthesis, including computer-aided drug molecular design, intensive research on a series of drug development process from determination of lead compound, modification of structure, screening of candidates, to study on activity in vivo and in vitro, late-phase clinical development and so on. She has participated in the research and development of anti-tuberculosis drugs in international organization projects.
