Ms. Joanna ZHU is in charge of legal department and she is a patent attorney and patent litigator specialized in patent relating to textile and fabric technology, dye and pigment, coating, rubber industry, polymer and organic chemistry, materials engineering as well as nanotechnologyincluding new filing, examination, reexamination and invalidation, as well as litigation and non-litigation service of intellectual property. 

As a patent attorney, she has practiced patent preparation and prosecution in our firm since 2004. At present, she has extensive experience of representing our clients for complex patent cases during the examination. 

As a litigator, she has been involved in all phases of trial preparation and motion practice for patent cases.  She focuses on providing her advice and strategies in all aspects including invalidation, FTO, civil litigation, assignment, licensing, administrative lawsuit, administrative proceedings, infringement analysis and unfair competition lawsuit combined with her legal expertise and industry knowledge to protect clients IP right. She has successfully defended the vital interests of our clients in dozens of invalid and litigation cases in China. 

She also involved in writing the book of IP Work Instruction for OBOR Coastal Counties in 2017 and was trained for IP Law training program at Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) in Strasbourg (France). She received Master degree of Textile coloration technology from University of Leeds, UK and B. S degree of polymer chemistry from Heilongjiang University, China.  Before joining the firm, she worked as researcher in University of Leeds. 

She is a member of All-China Patent Attorneys Association.
