To implement the outcomes of the Third Belt and Road Intellectual Property High-Level Conference, the "Belt and Road" Patent Acceleration Pilot Program will officially launch on January 20, 2025, lasting for two years until January 19, 2027. After the pilot program starts, eligible applicants from participating countries can submit requests for accelerated patent examination to CNIPA in accordance with the process outlined in the “Procedures for Requesting Accelerated Patent Examination under the Belt and Road Patent Acceleration Pilot Program."

According to the "Memorandum of Cooperation between the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office on the Belt and Road Patent Acceleration Pilot Program," Turkey's Patent and Trademark Office is the first office to participate in this initiative.
